Year Of Projects Update!

My very first Year of Projects Progress Update Post! Hooray!!

. . . I think I might be handling this the wrong way. I made my list, everything fine so far. . . And then I totally went and started on some projects not on the list. Bananas, right?

First the lovely items that weren't on the list ! These are my crochet projects inspired by cinema theme Charlie & the Chocolate Factory! I'll add the items to the list today (YOP tab above)!

Then another FO: Hairpin Lace Shawl!

Happy click here for more pics!

Of course, then I felt I had to start on another on-the-list project before I'd start another not-on-the-list. So I started with the Speek Hook Hooded Scarf:

So there you have it. I made a mess before even posting the first progress post! Worst thing is, I knew this was going to happen! I just didn't think so soon! ..giggle.. I'm such a dork!

PS. I hope you don't mind but from now on I will be referring to Year of Projects as YOP. Sorry lovely people-readers but the typing is just so much more if you type it all out every time and. . .  I'm just lazy like that! ^_^

Happy Sunday and Happy Crafting Everyone! :)

So pretty!

I love your Charlie and the Chocolate Factory blanket. My youngest son is a huge fan, so when you are finished I will show him and I will probably have to copy yours LOL!

Love the scarf it's perfect for just adding some bang to your outfit.

Not sure what the Speek Hook Hooded Scarf is going to look like, but I am intrigued.

Thanks for the well wishes and I am not going to let a silly cold get me down and am going to knit through it!

Your cinema inspired balnket is great and perfectly captures the essence of the film

Rugbymad, you made me smile on Sunday! :D Thanks for your lovely compliments!

And how cool that you're not letting that cold get to you! :D That's the spirit!! Take care & happy Sunday!

Thank you Caroline! But I have to let you in on a secret: it isn't a blanket but a collection of several cinema-themed WIP's jotted down for the pictures!

But now that you guys mentioned it, I can see it too! Maybe I will make it a blanket!

Your 'on the list' and 'off the list' comments got me all dizzy !!! :) I also play around with stuff not on my list but I don't think that's a problem, is it? Your crochet is beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing the speed hooded scarf. Have a great week.

Dorothy, I totally agree with you - I'm making such a mess! I hope it's not a problem to have mess around with the list because I'd be in big trouble!! As long as we're having fun, right?

Sandy, thank you for your lovely message and for welcoming me!

I'm someone else who's diverted off my YOP list this week so don't feel too bad about it! I love your Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired blanket, what a fun thing to be creating!

Yay a fellow "list-diverter"! Lovely that you stopped by Ogham, thanks!

Hahaha, I've also been working several projects not on the list - last week it was two headwraps and this week I'm also knitting a jumper that's not on-list - it's for this reason I tried not to over-commit too many projects to the list in the first place !

The things you've been busy with all look lovely and I'm especially taken with the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory items - delicious!

Oh I'm so happy that I'm not alone! Thanks for dropping by Sarah, and thank you for your sweet comment!

Not to worry. I've been using YOP almost since day one. I agree, too darn long to type every time. As for the list, I've not been 100% loyal to mine either. What can you do. We are human after all :)

I think that's great - one list of what you should be doing and one list of what you're actually doing. That's not unlike how things are going hereabouts!

Your sweets look super. I have socks that are not on my YOP list on the needles pretty much all the time, so you are not alone (also contemplating a baby blanket that is not on the list either!)

Whendidibecomeaknitter (aka Keri), lovely that you dropped by and happy to hear the term is used more often!

Thank you Minding My Own Stitches, it was more of a necessity since I was making such a mess from the beginning! ;-)

Alittlebitsheepish, thank you for your compliment on the sweets! Happy to hear you're with me on the tempting other not-on-the-list projects!!

Lovely week to all of you!
